A movement organization needs to be flexible and adaptable: when there's urgent help needed on an egregious tax bill that sits at the intersection of inequality, climate cataclysm and racial injustice, when local organizers in Maine ask for help in training students and clergy for nonviolent civil disobedience, we have been able to respond.
Climate Disobedience Center co-founder Jay O'Hara is living in Maine and has been working with Moral Movement Maine and Mainers for Accountable Leadership on this effort for two weeks, providing training, coaching, moral and logisitical support to activists who are deepening their level of commitment and engaging for the long haul.
Can you donate today? We need your support for his continued work and to support other organizers over the next week while the tax bill is re-debated.
